Turn against

Nghĩa 1: Rebel or oppose to something formerly supported (trở mặt)

IELTS TUTOR xét ví dụ: They TURNED AGAINST their leader.

Nghĩa 2: Set against or in opposition to something (quay đối diện)

IELTS TUTOR xét ví dụ: She TURNED her umbrella AGAINST the wind.

Nghĩa 3: Use to the disadvantage or injury of (lợi dụng điểm bất lợi)

Turn around

Nghĩa 1: Physically rotate horizontally 360 degrees (xoay vòng)

Nghĩa 2: Change to the opposite direction from a previous position (thay đổi chiều sang hướng đối diện)

Nghĩa 3: Reverse the expected outcome of a game, usually from a losing position to a winning one (thay đổi tình thế)

Nghĩa 4: Reverse a trend, usually towards a more favorable outcome (thay đổi để ra kết quả tốt hơn)

Nghĩa 5: Be duplicitous (thay mặt)

Nghĩa 6: Consider from a different viewpoint (xem từ góc nhìn khác)

Nghĩa 7: Produce; to output; to generate (sản xuất)

Nghĩa 8: Effect a positive reversal of a trend (thay đổi tích cực)

Nghĩa 9: Make a situation worse by trying to make it better (làm tình hình tệ hơn khi khiến nó tốt hơn)

Turn back

Nghĩa 1: Reverse direction and retrace one’s steps (quay lại)

Nghĩa 2: Return to a previous state of being (trở lại trạng thái cũ)

Nghĩa 3: Prevent or refuse to allow passage or progress (từ chối)

Nghĩa 4: Adjust to a previous setting (chỉnh ngược lại)

Nghĩa 5: Fold something back; to fold down (lật)

Nghĩa 1: Refuse, decline, or deny (từ chối)

Nghĩa 2: Reduce the power, etc. of something by means of a control, such as the volume, heat, or light (giảm)

Nghĩa 3: Reposition by turning, flipping, etc. in a downward direction (lật lại)

Nghĩa 1: Submit something; to give (nộp)

Nghĩa 1: Revolve or rotate around a centre (xoay quanh, lăn)

Nghĩa 2: Turn so as to be facing in the opposite direction (xoay qua bên đối diện)

Nghĩa 3: Change one’s opinion or attitude (especially when becoming hostile etc.) (thay đổi thái độ)

Nghĩa 3: Increase the amount of something by means of a control, such as the volume, heat, or light (tăng lên, bật lên)

Nghĩa 4: Reposition by rotating, flipping, etc. upwards (lật, chỉnh cổ áo)

Turn upside down

Nghĩa 1: Flip over; to rotate top to bottom (lật ngược)
