· Idiom

Idiom là những câu/cụm từ được người bản xứ thường xuyên sử dụng trong giao tiếp hằng ngày. Join the Club

Meaning: I feel sympathy for you because I have experienced something similar (đồng cảm với nhau)

Example: Yeah, join the club—I hardly got any sleep night either.

Jump a queue

Meaning: If you jump a queue, you go to the front without waiting in line (chen hàng)

Example: I wanted to shout at the man for jumping the queue, but I was too embarrassed about making a scene.

Jump in at the deep end

Meaning: start a new job or activity without being prepared for it (bắt đầu công việc mới chưa có sự chuẩn bị)
Example: He is jumping in at the deep end, acting as strike bowler in his first match this year on the Australian pitches.

Jump in with Both Feet

Meaning: Begin a new experience wholeheartedly (bắt đầu, hòa nhập trải nghiệm mới)

Example: I know you're nervous about starting school, but you just need to jump in with both feet and do your best!

Jump to conclusion

Meaning: form an opinion or judgement hastily (kết luận vội vàng)

Example: Wait till we get the report; don't jump to a conclusion.

Just Around the Corner

Meaning: Occurring soon (sắp diễn ra)

Example: My little brother believes that an alien invasion is just around the corner and that we should prepare ourselves for life on another planet.

Just off the boat

Meaning: If someone is just off the boat, they are naive and inexperienced. (thiếu kinh nghiệm, ngây thơ)

Example: My grandfather was just off the boat when he opened up his business here in 1820, and he didn't speak a lick of English.

Just in case

Meaning: to do something as a precautionary measure (trong trường hợp)

Example: The cake was ordered just in case the desert that she made did not turn up well.
