II. Cách dùng
1. Mang nghĩa "khởi động, mở, bật (thiết bị)"
=Start operating; to power up, to become on / When you turn on a piece of equipment or a supply of something, you cause heat, sound, or water to be produced by adjusting the controls

- I want to turn on the television.
- She asked them why they hadn't turned the lights on.
- I TURNED the radio ON to get the weather forecast. (IELTS TUTOR giải thích: Tôi bật đài radio để nghe dự báo thời tiết)
2. Mang nghĩa "thu hút, gợi cảm"
=Fill with enthusiasm; to intoxicate, give pleasure to / If someone or something turns you on, they attract you and make you feel sexually excited

- Attractive packaging can TURN buyers ON to a product.
- Physical perfection doesn't tend to turn most people on

3. Mang nghĩa "tấn công"
=Violently rebel against; to suddenly attack / If someone turns on you, they attack you or speak angrily to you

- turn on sb = to attack or criticize someone suddenly and unexpectedly

- Demonstrators turned on police, overturning vehicles and setting fire to them.
- He turned on Pete and accused him of being mixed up in crime.
- Suddenly she just turned on me and accused me of undermining her.
- Suddenly all his friends TURNED ON him

4. Mang nghĩa "xoay quanh chủ đề, tập trung vào yếu tố gì"
=Depend upon; to pivot around, to have as a central subject / If something turns on a particular thing, its success or truth depends on that thing
